The Amazon Rainforest (Portuguese: Floresta Amazônica) is a moist broadleaf forest located in South America. The majority of the rainforest is in Brazil, however parts of the rainforest also cover Colombia, Peru and other South American nations.

- Although it does not appear in The Railway Series, the Amazon Rainforest is indirectly mentioned in the foreword to Duke the Lost Engine, where it is referred to as the "South American jungle" where Coronel Church - the real locomotive which inspired the story of Sleeping Beauty - was re-discovered.
