Callan is a station and small town on the Island of Sodor.
History
Callan is a small station with two platforms. The longer platform is primarily used by passengers and is adjoined to the main station building, which is home to one of Sir Topham Hatt's offices. The shorter platform, meanwhile, appears to see less use, being situated next to the station's engine shed and only accessible via the lattice iron footbridge spanning the four tracks between it and the main platform.
A large yard is situated next to the station. It was in these yards that Oliver accidentally tore S.C. Ruffey in half.[1] These yards were also where Thomas picked up a Christmas tree for a village on Toby's Branch Line one winter.[2]
Tom Tipper delivers mail to the station, which is usually picked up by Percy. Once, when he had to deliver the mail by bicycle, Tom Tipper accidentally set his bicycle against Percy's mail trucks at this station, causing it to be crushed when Percy moved.[3]

Trivia
- The town's name comes from the River Callan.
- Though Callan's exact position on the maps created for the series by David Mitton is currently unknown, the 2003 edition of the Thomas and Friends Writers' Bible refers to Callan as being a "Main Line station".
- On an earlier version of Sam Wilkinson's map from 2014, Callan was situated east of Peel Godred on a short line off of the main Peel Godred Branch Line serving the Black Loch area. This was retconned to its current location by the time of the Mark 11 version of the map.
