Engine Colors is a magazine story.
Plot
Duck was at the station at the end of his branch line when a man in a suit asks him why he is painted green. Duck explains that he is a Great Western Engine, with green being the color of his fleet. The man is not impressed, and doesn't understand why the engines on the railway are painted in different colours. He plans to ask Sir Topham Hatt to choose one colour scheme to paint all his engines.
When Duck tells the other engines about the man in the suit, they get upset at his proposal and plan to talk to Sir Topham Hatt. The next day, Thomas tells him that none of the engines want to have the same fleet color. However, he informs him that he has rejected the man's idea, noting that the most important thing on his railway is for them to be really useful in their own different ways.
