Plot

Sir Topham Hatt snaps at the engines for ignoring instructions. Suddenly, he trips over the grating and one of his new shoes comes off. The dog snatches it and drops it over the train track, just as Edward abruptly brakes onto it. Later, Sir Topham Hatt has telephoned Lady Hatt to buy another pair of shoes and sure enough, Sir Topham Hatt gets cheered up and everything is normal once again.
