THQ (also known Toy Head Quarters) was an American video game developer and publisher.

Founded in 1989, they were best known for working on third party titles for WWE, Nickelodeon and Disney. They also created franchises including: "Company of Heroes", "Darksiders", "De Blob", "Destroy All Humans!", "Drawn to Life", "Homefront", "Juiced", "Metro 2033", "MX Vs. ATV", "Red Faction", "Saints Row" and "Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War".

THQ released Bump 'n' Sound Thomas as well as the Toot 'n' Tune Keyboard in 1992 and Battery Operated Railway in 1993 as merchandise of Shining Time Station.

THQ published the Super Nintendo and the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive Adventure Series games of Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends in 1993.

A prototype of the Super Nintendo game was developed on the Nintendo Entertainment System. This was never released, although ROMs of the game can be found online.

The company filed for bankruptcy in 2012 and was then defunct a year after. It is unknown who owns the rights for the two Thomas games.

The company's assets were acquired by Nordic Games in 2014 and then it was renamed into THQ Nordic in 2016.
