Two Fat Controllers! is a magazine story.
Plot
Thomas is heading into the Maintenance Shed to be oiled and Percy is doing a mail run when he passes a farm. He sees a strange figure on the field disguised as the Fat Controller and tells Thomas about the story. Sir Topham Hatt asks Percy to shunt coal trucks in the yard and Thomas to go down the branch line with a goods train. He sees the same figure that Percy told him and tells his driver who tells the farmer who tells them that it is actually a scarecrow. Thomas is surprised and he can't wait to tell Percy about the real truth.
