Upper Toryreck^[1] (also known as Miner's Halt) is a small station north-east of Toryreck, used for transporting workers from the village to the coal mines. Near the station is a small village, water tower and a level crossing.

• The station building's model is reused from Dryaw station with its roof repainted and the canopy removed.
• Two models of buildings at Miner's Halt were reused from:
  • The mansion at Old Manor Station, with added windows.
  • Sir Topham Hatt's Holiday House.
• The station was given its name by former Railway Consultant Sam Wilkinson for his map of the Island of Sodor. In the show, the station and village was not named.
  • On an earlier version of Sam Wilkinson's map from 2014, Upper Toryreck was named "Miner's Halt" and was located on a short branch line north-east of Wellsworth leading to the coal mines. This was retconned to its current location by the time of the Mark 11 version of the map.
