In addition to the Tidmouth Engine Works, a number of other engine works appear around the Island of Sodor throughout Thomas & Friends prior to the Sodor Steamworks being established as the main works on Sodor in Hero of the Rails.
The following locations have also been used to represent "the Works" in various different episodes:

The Works (Escape)
These works was where Edward took Thomas to after the workmen at Tidmouth Engine Works were unable to make him better when he had fallen ill. Douglas also brought Oliver and Toad here after escaping the scrap yard. Oliver later returned to the Works after falling into the turntable well.
