The Trading Cards are made by The Upper Deck Company in conjunction with HiT Entertainment. Entitled Thomas & Friends Sodor Adventures Collectipak, the 18-card set includes stickers, tattoos, and pop-up cards of the most popular characters from Thomas & Friends. Previous to this series, Gullane and Briarpatch had released a 100 card set in 2002.

Trivia
- Nine characters that were exclusive to The Railway Series at the time have had trading cards.
- If one arranges the 75 character cards from 2002 in the order shown by the small black numbers on the back of each card, it is revealed that the characters are ordered alphabetically. This does not apply to the first four, which are Sir Topham Hatt, Lady Hatt, the Conductor, and Cranky.
- Coincidentally, all of these cards are vertically-oriented as opposed to horizontally-oriented like the other cards.
- The image used for the Conductor is actually an image of Mr. Conductor.
- Also, on the back of the card, the description for the conductor says his job is to run the engines, but they're in charge of passenger and goods trains and ensure that they run on time, while the fun fact says, "It was the conductor who helped Percy plan his "Ghostly Trick" on Thomas in Percy's Ghostly Trick story". This does not happen in the original episode nor in the original story.
- Harold's trading card says that he has never flown outside of the Island of Sodor. While this was true at the time, it became false starting with the 2010 special, Misty Island Rescue.
- The Thomas, Percy and the Dragon card says that the Chinese Dragon only appears in that episode. While this was true at the time, it became false starting with the tenth series episode, Percy and the Funfair.
- S.C. Ruffey's card asserts that he was scrapped after being pulled apart, as per The Railway Series.
- On the collector's guide for the 2002 cards, the Toby and the Flood one is shown as "Toby, Percy & Harold", meaning that Percy was likely going to be on that card as well.
Goofs
- As with many of his merchandise and promotional art at the time, James is incorrectly illustrated as having grey wheels.
- D199 is incorrectly depicted with a Co-Co wheel arrangement whilst Daisy is given a Co-Bo wheel arrangement.
- Mike is depicted with no front coupling.
- Neil is depicted with no eyebrows.
- Sir Handel and Wilbert are both illustrated with white wheels.
- Peter Sam is depicted with green wheels.
- Mike's card incorrectly states that his whistle was never fixed after its cap was blown off.
- Godred's card says his parts were used to repair Culdee, Lord Harry and Wilfred, whereas Lord Harry had not yet arrived at the time.
- Lord Harry's card incorrectly states that he is still being referred to by his #6.
- The original Arlesdale engines are incorrectly depicted as 4-8-2's.
- Duke and Bertram's faces are switched.
- Wilbert’s bio incorrectly says he was brought to help on The Ffarquhar Branch Line while his own line was being repaired, but he was actually brought to work with Donald and Douglas, and only briefly helped the Ffarquhar engines while Percy was at the Works.
- The Diseasel card is misspelt as "The Diesel" on the back.
- The "brake" in "brake van" (referring to Toad) is misspelt "break".
- The Cranky Bugs card is incorrectly called "A Cranky Day" on the back.
- In Victor's 2010 card, he is not properly placed on the rails.
